Welcome from the Editor
Welcome to the December 2011 issue of Connect, the newsletter from the GÉANT community. In this issue we feature articles on Bandwidth on Demand (BoD), progress towards a 100Gbps network and reports on how GÉANT has been represented at major events. We also look at how GÉANT and the NRENs are supporting the valuable DECIDE project, which aims to improve the lives of Alzheimer's sufferers.

We hope you enjoy this issue of Connect and look forward to hearing your feedback – you can reach us at connect@geant.net.
