CARNet Users Conference, September 2004
The 2004 CARNet Users Conference (CUC) will take place on 27-29 September 2004 in Zagreb, Croatia.
The CUC provides a meeting place for users, researchers, scientists, IT experts and anybody willing to tackle today’s IT challenges. CUC is designed as a platform that provides all Internet users with the opportunity to exchange ideas, and to present and discuss their knowledge and experiences.
This year we are going to investigate the opportunities brought by the new developments in ICT as well as the requirements for the future.
Topics that will be covered at CUC 2004 include:
- Authentication and Authorisation Systems
- Web Services and Advanced Applications
- Multimedia, Videoconferencing and Streaming Applications
- Information Availability and Security
- Advances in Distance Learning
- High Performance Computing, Clusters and Grids.
The conference presentations will focus on User applications but will also tackle the fundamental technologies. The above topics are an indication of the planned scope of the conference, but are not meant to be restrictive.
