Acceptable Use
Once connected to the GÉANT network, as with any resource, network use is governed by a set of rules, commonly known as an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). An element of the AUP for GÉANT is that the network handles any traffic that conforms to the AUP of the NREN which transmits it. This assumes that each NREN has an AUP and procedures for policing it in place; as a consequence, no special rules or policing procedures are necessary for GÉANT.
This page provides information on GÉANT's AUP, and links to the AUPs of many of the NRENs connected to GÉANT (provided on this page); over time, this page will be updated to include links to all the AUPs of connected NRENs that are available online.
